Street food
When we say streetsfoods these are the ready-to-eat food and drinks that we can find in the street, public school, market, church and other many places . It can place into the portable truck or cart in able to sell the product. It is also convenient for those people who have a short in their budget and to the people who wants a food for immediate consumption to be able to full your hungry stomach.
Here are the list of some of the foods that you can always see in the streets.
1. FISHBALL AND KIKIAM
This is the cheapest among all street food the Fishball remain ₱ 0.50 cents each piece while the kikiam is ₱1.00 per small cut, sometimes ₱ 5.00 per 3pcs for the bigger size. You can also choose for the variety of sauce, if you want a sweet, sweet and spicy , or either spicy vinegar . Fish ball and Kikiam are very well known product of street food and you can see these from different part of the place in the city and the Philippines.
2. TOKNENENG AND KWEK-KWEK
second to our list is the tokneneng which is hard boiled chicken egg with mixture of flour, food color ( orange ) , water, and salt ( to taste ) and cook it by deep fry to the oil. Same with the Kwek-kwek but this is the sammler version and but the use of egg of pugo. You can also choose from variety of sauce which is the sweet, sweet and spicy, and spicy vinegar. It is more delicious with combination of diced cucumber and onion.
The Tokneneng cost about to ₱ 11.00 pesos each while the Kwek-kwek cost about ₱3.00 each .
3. Barbecue
The third one is the barbecue which is consist of hotdog, liver of pig, intestine of chicken and pig, chicken head and feet, blood of pig, neck of a chicken . For others it can be a exotic food but this is the best street food that we have. It cook by the use of fire charcoal. And when the cooking is done it usually pair with steam rice or beer for other people.
The barbecue start with the cost of ₱ 5.00 to 15.00 each.
4. PORRIDGE AND TOFU
Porridge and tofu are the best in the morning and afternoon . It pair with egg, chicken, meat of pig, intestine of pig. It sprinkle with toasted garlic, spring onion, and chili garlic. It is usually cost of ₱ 10.00 for plain porridge , while ₱25.00 when it has a combination of egg, chicken or pork. While the fried tofu cost ₱ 6.00 for each order.
5. BEVERAGE
For refreshment some of the most favorite of the Filipino is the Buko, Mango, Black Gulaman, Choco flavor and many more. These beverages help our body to hydrate. And it usually cost of ₱ 5.00 for small cup while the big cup cost ₱ 10.00 each order.
6. PROVEN
Next to our list is the proven which is the chicken skin with coated of flour with the seasoning of salt and pepper. It is cook in deep fry and serve with sauce like gravy or spicy vinegar. Better for finger foods and with the combination of rice if you wish .
It cost ₱10.00 per cup or per stick.
7. CALAMARES ( FRIED SQUID )
CALAMARES is the fried squid cut into small pieces ,coated with flour and seasoned with salt and pepper to taste. It also cook in deep fry and serve with spicy vinegar or sweet sauce.
Each piece of CALAMARES cost of ₱3.00 each.
8. MANGO
Mango is one of the favorite fruit of the Filipino and it is no doubt to see it in the street as one of the food they want to eat with the combination of bagoong which can be a sweet or spicy. Each slice is cost of ₱ 5.00.
9. CHEESE CORN
Instead of stew corn , we push it to the next level which we are love so much . Which is the cheesecorn with cheese powder, sugar, and margarine. Each cup cost of ₱ 5.00 for small cup while the largest cost of ₱20.00 .
10. FRIED PEANUT
Fried peanut is categorized to salted , spicy peanut . It is usually cost of ₱5.00 each to ₱10.00 per serving .
